From purchasing to sales. Discover the versatile commercial apprenticeship.
Each year, Collano trains a commercial clerk to Federal VET diploma level. During the three-year apprenticeship, you will familiarise yourself with various departments. You will play an active role in day-to-day business and take on independent tasks. By the end of your apprenticeship, terms such as accounting, purchasing various basic products, sales, organising events and customer contact - sometimes in English and French - will no longer be Double Dutch to you. You will attend the vocational college in Sursee.
In commercial office work, you spend a lot of time on the computer, but you also work with people. I talk to customers on the phone, organize orders, and see how a company really works.
Do you enjoy working on the computer and with people?
A taster makes it easier for you to apply for an apprenticeship, but is not a requirement. What qualities do you need? Quite simply: an interest in business and industry and an enjoyment of working on a PC. German and maths should be among your favourite subjects. You also have good grades in French and English. If you are communicative, proactive, reliable and customer-orientated, you will fit in perfectly with us. If you pass secondary level A or B, you already have a solid foundation.
